Build A(n) Amelia Bear

Click here to see all the Build A Bear Pictures

Unfortunately, there have been mommies before me
that have had to face saying
both hello
and goodbye
to their precious babies
in what seems the same breath.

Fortunately, those mommies (and daddies)
have opened their hearts and arms to us
as we face
well, tomorrow.

One such mother shared with me that her family had gone to
Build A Bear and made each sibling a bear
containing a recording of their baby's heartbeat.
Today we made the trip to Build A Bear,
Amelia's recorded heartbeat in hand,
and made two stuffed animals
one for Noah
and one for Mommy.

Noah and Daddy named his fishing bear
Mackerel "Mac" the Monkey.
My bear is named the only name that came to mind,
Amelia Grace.

In 12 hours we will finally meet
our little Amelia.
Only God knows how much time we will have together.
We are in constant prayer,
knowing in full, He will take care of it all.

.................

A familiar verse shared with me today,

For I am convinced that neither death nor life,
neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God
that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39

Father God, I pray that you would bless Melissa and her time with Amelia Grace. Watch over them during the c-section. Guide the hands of the doctors so that the family might have as much time together as possible. Lord, I pray that you would use the life of Amelia Grace and the faith of her parents, to touch the hearts of the hospital staff, and draw them closer to you. Thank you for blessing all of us reading this blog through the life of precious Amelia Grace and her faithful Mommy. Be the Lorang's all-sufficient comfort this moment and in all the years to come. In Jesus Name, Amen.

What a great idea and a miraculous memento for you and Noah to have.

I will be thinking of you guys and praying for you tomorrow, and for everyone on your medical team too.

I wanted to let you know that I have been thinking of you all day and will continue to. You will be on my mind and in my heart tomorrow. I am sure someone else has mentioned this and if not I hope I mention it soon enough. Do you know about NILMDTS? They come in and take pictures for you.

I was hoping that you would go to Build a Bear. My children still love to hear our Amelia's heartbeat. Having a special stuffed animal for each of them has helped them remember her and "hear" a very real part of her.

The tears and joy will come and I pray that the moments of tomorrow will be filled with vivid memories, momentos, and sounds of your Amelia. I know what tomorrow will be for you ~ and I hope with all my heart that you have the time with Amelia that you deserve. But, even if the moments were not what you planned on, or hoped for ~ that your joy at meeting your precious angel overshadows everything else.

Melissa, you have been in my thoughts and prayers all day and tomorrow will be no different. Oh, I fervently and humbly pray that tomorrow you will know the presence of God like never before. My heart has been so heavy for your family. God will not let my mind stray too far from prayers for sweet little Amelia and your family. Please know that God's throne is being flooded tonight and in the days to come. Love, hugs, and many, many prayers.

Father God, may Your loving arms wrap around this precious family and bless their time with Amelia Grace. May they feel Your presence and may You touch each one that walks this journey today with them. May You be lifted up and glorified through Amelia's amazing life. Bless her family, Abba!!! In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Heavenly Father, Lord I pray that you would be with the Lorang family this day, and that if it be your will that Amelia be delivered happy and healthy in the face of every diagnosis, Lord, that that extraordinary act of grace would be bestowed upon this family who has so openly shared their faith in your provision in this time of need. Lord we ask at the very least that they have wonderful, quality time to spend as a family before Amelia returns to You. Be their comfort in this time of need. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

The build a bear is a great idea. I wish we had went to the US place where you can get the bear with the heartbeat recording.
